Visiting Students
Thank you for your interest in the visiting clerkships at the BIDMC Harvard Psychiatry Residency affiliated institutions. We typically offer visiting clerkship opportunities for medical students in their third or fourth year of US accredited medical schools. We are unfortunately unable to welcome students from non-US accredited medical schools.
All applications for visiting clerkships are through the VSLO system.
Please feel free to reach out to Associate Program Director Tim Scarella (tscarell@bidmc.harvard.org) with any questions on the visiting elective offerings or on how to apply for a visiting clerkship.
If you would like to apply for a visiting clerkship, please contact the Harvard Medical School Registrar’s Office which can also help with available housing.
Currently, the courses open to visiting students are:
- PS 503M.1 Advanced Adult Psychiatry
- PS 513M.5 Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral/Cognitive Neurology
Please see the advanced clinical electives page for descriptions of these courses.
*Please note that courses with similar names are offered at multiple Harvard-affiliated hospitals; the BIDMC courses are those with these specific course numbers.
